Al Otto is the Founder and CEO of OneFiduciary Group, LLC. 

Al Otto is a nationally recognized leader in the retirement industry with over 25 years of experience.  Al has built a record of success on the foundation of high integrity, focus on stewardship, transparency and prudent market capital guidance. 

Mr. Otto is a thought leader in the retirement plan industry.  Listed by 401(k) Wire in 2008 as one of the Industry’s 100 Most Influential Individuals, he began writing about excessive fees in 2001 before it became the big story that it is today.  He has championed full disclosure for retirement plan advisors since working with his first 401(k) client in 1984, and believes that retirement plan advisors must be true advocates for their clients. 

His ongoing success is bred in an ability to identify the “hidden” gems in inefficient market processes and to see the vision of where the industry is headed. 

A frequent speaker and lecturer on retirement plan issues, Al is on the Editorial Advisory Board, as well as a contributing writer, for Benefits & Compensation Solutions. In 2007 he wrote “Fee Disclosure Forensics” the Journal of Pension Benefits.  He has written numerous articles including, Will ‘Default’ Turn into ‘Your Fault?’, “401(k) Plan Fee Disclosure for Dummies,” and the “Nuts and Bolts of 401(k) Fees.”

Al has also been quoted for, and contributed to the Profit Sharing Council of America’s Defined Contribution Insights Magazine, Investment News, Plan Sponsor Magazine, CFO Magazine, Employee Benefit News, Employee Benefit Plan Review and McHenry Insight. 

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and was a President’s Fellow at Georgia Tech.    He holds ChFC and CLU designations and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™.   Al is also an Associate Professional Member of ASPPA.
A native Californian, Al and his wife, Pam, have been residents of Atlanta for the past 26 years. Al has two children and two grandchildren. He is also an active member of his church where he has been a small group leader and counsels with individuals and couples encountering financial challenge.
